[Amstelveen] is a municipality and a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. It is part of the metropolitan area of Amsterdam.
Dutch prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende started his political career as member of the Amstelveen city council.
Amstelveen has a light rail connection with Amsterdam.
The COBRA Museum is located in Amstelveen.
