Ana Gabriel (born on December 10 1955 as María Guadalupe Araújo Young in Guamúchil, Sinaloa) is a Mexican singer and composer.
She was born into a Mexican family of mixed Spanish-Chinese ancestry. She first sang on the stage when she was 6 years old, when she sang Regalo A Dios by José Alfredo Jiménez. She moved to Tijuana, Baja California, where she studied accountancy. When she was 22 years old she recorded her first song entitled Compréndeme in 1977. She came in second place at a local festival called Valores Juveniles after singing No Me Lastimes Más.
In 2006, she received the Premio lo Nuestro a la Musica Latina for "Premio a la Excelencia"
