Anal spurs
Encyclopedia : A : AN : ANA : Anal spurs
Anal spurs are a pair of tiny claws found on each side of the vent of pythons, boas, and other primitive snakes. These claws are connected to the vestiges of the rear leg bones and pelvis. The external spurs are larger in males than females, and are used by males to stimulate the female during copulation.
