Andrew Trudeau is a fictional character on the WB television series Charmed.

Biography

Andy Trudeau: portrayed by Ted King (1998-1999)

Andy Trudeau grew up next-door to the Halliwell sisters in San Francisco. As a child he was close to them all, but in high school he dated Prue for a short period. Later when they parted ways and he moved out of his childhood home, to Washington. Andy worked as an Inspector for the San Francisco Police Department and was coincidentally assigned to almost every police case that involved the Charmed sisters. He worked with Darryl Morris as his partner.

When the Halliwell sisters reunited and moved back into the Manor after their Grams' death, Prue bumped into him at a hospital. The two of them began dating shortly thereafter. He was in love with Prue, but they eventually broke up because Prue wouldn't tell Andy her secret. Eventually, Andy discovered that all three sisters were witches, and that they were responsible for saving many people's lives.

When the Charmed ones went back to the past they found out they used to have there powers... Piper freezes Andy and the older Charmed Ones kidnap the girls.

A short while after harboring the sisters' secret and helping to keep it just that, a secret, Andy risked his career to do so. He even went as far as ultimately sacrificing his life to protect them from the demon Rodriguez.

Trivia

Brian Krause (the actor who plays Leo Wyatt) , Julian McMahon (Cole Turner) and Kerr Smith (Kyle Brody) all originally auditioned to play Andy Trudeau, but were later given other roles.
