Angarpathar is a census town in Dhanbad district in the state of Jharkhand, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census^{[Geographic references#IndiaGRIndia]}, Angarpathar had a population of 8179. Males constitute 57% of the population and females 43%. Angarpathar has an average literacy rate of 55%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 68% of the males and 32% of females literate. 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
