Angelica and Susie's Pre-School Daze is the second spin-off series to Rugrats. It first aired in the UK on July 25, 2005, and some episodes have been released on DVD in the US.
It is set when Angelica and Susie are at pre-school and is based on the Rugrats episode that piloted it. However, the graphics are much more "cutesy"[link] than Rugrats and All Grown Up!.
The story behind this series getting made is rather turbulent. In 2001, this show was commisioned along with All Grown Up! [link] for 13 episodes and it was slated to premiere late 2002 [link]. It was also announced that the new spin-off was to feature new looks for the two characters [link]. The next official word on this series was in a press release for All Grown Up! in September 2002, which it was announced that it was now a series of 4 episodes [link], and there were also known to be complications involving the planned new animation designs for the characters [link]. With the success of All Grown Up! (which was actually supposed to begin after this series), the spin-off was forgotten until May 2005, when K-C announced that it had completed the "first" 4 episodes, and was planning on releasing the eps with the upcoming "Rugrats: Tales From The Crib" DVDs [link].
The first two episodes have been released on the first "Tales from the Crib" DVD.
