Angmendus
Encyclopedia : A : AN : ANG : Angmendus
Angmendus was the (possible legendary) first Lord Chancellor of England, appointed in AD 605. Other sources suggest that the first to appoint a Chancellor was Saint Edward the Confessor, who is said to have adopted the practice of sealing documents instead of personally signing them.
