Angus (UK Parliament constituency)

Angus is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 1997 general election, largely replacing Angus East. A similar constituency, also called Angus, is used by the Scottish Parliament.
Boundaries
The constituency covers the
Angus council area, apart from the area around
Dundee. Until the
2005 general election, it covered the east of Angus and the area around Dundee. In 2005, parts of
North Tayside were incorporated into Angus.
Major towns in the constituency are Arbroath, Brechin, Forfar and Montrose.
