Anheg

Anheg is a fictional character in David Eddings' The Belgariad and The Malloreon. He is the King of Cherek and surprisingly well-read considering the rowdy, almost Viking race he leads. He is married to Queen Islena, whom he loves dearly despite the fact he once claimed he certainly didn't marry her "for her brains". His library, indeed, is one of the greatest in the West, and Belgarath respects him as a clever man and a fine scholar.
During events in The Malloreon, Anheg is framed for the murder of the Rivan Warder Brand. His name is later cleared after the document that gives the assassins permission to enter The Citadel is proved to be a forgery.
