Anita Pallenberg (born January 25, 1944 in Rome, Italy) is a model, actress and fashion designer. She was the common-law wife of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards from 1967 to 1977.
She is best known for romantic involvement with three Rolling Stones band members: Brian Jones (whom she met in 1965), Keith Richards (whom she left Jones for in 1967), and Mick Jagger. She and Richards had three children, a son named Marlon Richards (born in 1969) who is now married to Franco-Welsh fashion model, Lucie de La Falaise; a daughter, Dandelion (born in 1972) who now goes by the name Angela Richards; and another son, Tara Richards, who was born in 1976, but died of health complications soon after birth. Like Richards, Pallenberg is a recovering heroin addict.
A brief affair with Jagger occurred during the filming of Performance. She also starred as The Black Queen in Barbarella (1967), and as the sleeper wife of Michel Piccoli in the film Dillinger รจ morto (1968), directed by Marco Ferreri.
After breaking up with Richards, Pallenberg became a fashion designer. She now divides her time between New York City and Europe.
