Another Day is the second song and the first single from the Dream Theater album Images and Words. The lyrics were written entirely by John Petrucci and refer to his father's struggle with cancer. Jay Beckenstein from the band Spyro Gyra plays saxophone on this song.

Tracks 2 and 3 were recorded live at the Marquee Club in London on April 23, 1993. They also appeared on the live album Live at the Marquee (Another Day only on the Japanese version).
