Antoine Risso

Antoine Joseph Risso (August 7, 1777 - August 25, 1845) was a French naturalist.

Risso was born in Nice and studied under Giovanni Battista Balbis (1765-1831). He published Ichthyologie de Nice (1810) and Histoire naturelle de l'Europe méridionale (1826).
