Aorounga is an impact crater in Chad, Africa.
It is 12.6 km in diameter and the age is estimated to be less than 345 million years (Carboniferous). The crater is exposed to the surface. It is now called Aorounga South, as two more buried craters accompany it, revealed by the Space Shuttle SIR-C radar.
