Ar Riyad {{IPA(Arabic الرياض) is a province of Saudi Arabia, located in the centre of the country. It has an area of 412,000 km² and a population of 4,485,000 (1999). Its capital is Riyadh, which is also the national capital. Other towns include Thadiq,Al Majma'ah, Diriyah, Layla, As Sulayyil and Afif.
