The Arab Federation of Iraq and Jordan was a short-lived country that was formed in 1958 from the union of Iraq and Jordan.
History
On February 14, 1958, King Faisal II of Iraq and his cousin, King Hussein wanted the two Hashemite Kingdoms of Jordan and Iraq to unite. This led to the formation of the Arab Federation of Iraq and Jordan in which King Faisal II became the Head of the State.The Federation was dissolved on August 2, 1958, after only six months.
