Aramex is an international shipping company based in Amman, Jordan. According to its website, it has more than 200 offices in 35 countries and bills for US$7.5 billion per year.
Achievements
In January of 1997, it became the first Arab-based company to have its shares traded on the NASDAQ. The company returned to private ownership in February of 2002. It was lauded by Thomas Friedman in The World is Flat as one of few companies based in the Middle East, outside of Israel, to prosper under globalization.See also
