Ariel (clipper)

Ariel was a clipper ship, measuring 197.4ft x 33.9ft x 21ft. She was designed by William Rennie, and built in 1865 by Robert Steel & Co, Greenock for Shaw, Lowther & Maxton of London. In late 1872 she left London bound for Sydney and was not heard of again.
