History

Arkefly can trace its roots back to Air Holland founded in 1981, part of Exel Aviation Group. After financial problems Air Holland took a new start as Holland Exell in March 2004. In May 2005 Holland Exell was declared bankrupt and the TUI Group took over its activities and was named Arkefly. It's now 100 % TUI owned and it's part of the TUIfly Alliance. Its name was based on the largest Dutch touroperator: Arke, subsidiary of the TUI Group. The first flight was in September 2005.

Fleet

The Arkefly fleet consists of the following aircraft:

divided in 3 classes: economy, comfort and business class

The fleet is recognisable by the lightblue fuselage with the Arkefly letters and the red TUI logo on the tail.
