The City of Armadale is a Local Government Area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 545 km² in metropolitan Perth, the capital of Western Australia. The City of Armadale maintains 615 km of roads, a little over 14 km² of parks and gardens and has a population of 54,000. Armadale was granted City status in 1985.
The name Armadale also refers to a suburb within this local government area.
Armadale is located on the southeastern edge of Perth, and contains the intersection of the main highways to Perth, Albany and Bunbury. It is also the terminus of the suburban railway service.
