Armand Assante (born October 4, 1949, New York City, New York) is an American actor.
Assante was born to an Italian American father and an Irish American mother. He is an accomplished character actor, with his big break coming in 1974 in "The Lords of Flatbush". His sometimes sinister look has made him a popular choice for movies and TV. Many people also believe that he bears a passing resemblance to Sylvester Stallone. Ironically, Assante went onto work with Stallone as his evil brother in the film version of Judge Dredd.
He lives in upstate New York and has two daughters. Just purchased a second home in Staten Island.
