- Arrondissement of Montdidier, (sous-préfecture: Montdidier) with 5 cantons and 132 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 49,643 in 1990, and was 51,644 in 1999, an increase of 4.03%.
- Arrondissement of Péronne, (sous-préfecture: Péronne) with 8 cantons and 169 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 79,494 in 1990, and was 78,873 in 1999, a decrease of 0.78%.
