Filekpedeftiki Etaireia can be dated back to 1836 when Ioannis Kokkonis, Georgios Gennadios and Misail Apostolidis created school where young girls could be educated after the difficult years of the war. Initially it was located in the centre of Athens, in the place of Stoa tou Bibliou, and was functioning as a boarding school.
The school located in Tirana was opened 8 years ago and has about 400 students.A new and bigger school is being built in Tirana which has got dormitories where students from other cities can stay.
