Arsalan Kamkar

Arsalan Kamkar ( Erselan Kamkar in Kurdish) (Persian: ارسلان کامکار) (born in 1960) is a Kurdish ethnic Iranian musician.
He has played violin in the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and is also an excellent barbat player. His compositions are regularly performed and include a symphony called The Story of My Father's Land, written with his brother Ardeshir. He also plays the Oud.
Arsalan Kamkar is a member of the musical group Kamkarha, composed of seven brothers and a sister who are exceptional musicians, thanks in no small part to their father. The names of the other seven are as follows:
Ghashang Kamkar: plays the Setar
Pashang Kamkar: plays the Santour
Hooshang Kamkar: composer
Arjang Kamkar: plays the Tonbak
Ardeshir Kamakar: plays the Kamancheh and Gheichak
Ardavan Kamkar: plays the Santour
Bijan Kamakr: plays the Daf, the Dohol and the Rabab. He also sings.
