Art punk
Encyclopedia : A : AR : ART : Art punk
Art Punk is a term given to bands that seem very similar to punk rock and were associated with punk rock, but were not a part of that movement. Some of these bands, like Rocket From The Tombs and Suicide existed before the rise of punk music. Others, like X-Ray Spex and Teenage Jesus and The Jerks were influenced by punk but made their music sound and look different than actual punk bands.
