Many graphic designers and artists today to use computers rather than traditional forms of art, particularly the Apple Macintosh. These users are commonly known as "creative professionals". Art software can often be more efficient than traditional painting/drawing methods, and requires less learning and skills.
Today, because of increasingly powerful computers and more efficient software, art software is capable of representing real painting and drawings more easily. With special effects, and a variety of digital brushes available in most programs, a user can imitate real brush effects such as oil and watercolor.
