Arthur Blank (born 1942) was one of the founders of Home Depot. In February 2002, he purchased the Atlanta Falcons franchise in the National Football League. In September 2004, he bought Arena Football League franchise Georgia Force.
Blank graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York, NY in 1960. He later graduated from Babson College where he has a building named after him. In early 2006, he withdrew from contention as a potential buyer of Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves. Recently however, Blank is in serious talks with Time Warner and a sale of the Atlanta Braves could be imminent. [link]
