Asa (厚狭郡; -gun) was a district located in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.
As of 2003, the district had an estimated population of 29,543 and a density of 177.08 persons per km². The total area was 166.83 km².
Former towns and villages
Mergers
- On November 1, 2004, the town of Kusunoki merged into the city of Ube.
- On March 22, 2005, the town of Sanyo merged with the city of Onoda to form the new city of Sanyo-Onoda. Asa District was dissolved as a result of this merger.
