The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities or AJCU is an American voluntary service organization based in Washington, D.C. whose mission is to serve its member institutions, the 28 colleges and universities in the United States administered by the Society of Jesus. Although each institution is legally autonomous under their own boards of trustees and separately chartered by their respective states, the 28 schools and two associate member institutions are bonded together by their common Jesuit ideals, and engage in a number of collaborative projects.
