The Assumption of the Virgin is the name of two paintings by the Italian Baroque painter Annibale Carracci. The first is from 1590 and is housed in the Prado of Madrid. The second is from 1600-1601 and is in the famous Cerasi Chapel of the church of Santa Maria del Popolo of Rome.

Carracci competed with the major artists of the day for the decoration of Santa Maria del Popolo. In the end he was awarded the picture over the main altar.
