Asuncion is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 60,383 people in 11,975 households.

History

In 2004, Barangays Igangon, Kipalili, Sabangan, Sawata, Santo Niño, and Mamangan was transferred to the created municipality of San Isidro, Davao del Norte.
