Athlone Institute of Technology

Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT, Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Bhaile Átha Luain in Irish) formerly Regional Technical College, Athlone is one of the original network of Regional Technical Colleges; it was built in Athlone, Ireland. It was established in 1970 and was upgraded to an Institute of Technology in 1998.
The institution offers a wide variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses: National Certificates, National Diplomas and academic degrees. The institution offers the only polymer degree course in Ireland.
