Atlanta History Center

The Atlanta History Center is located in the Buckhead district of Atlanta, Georgia. It comprises a history museum, a research library and archives, two historic houses (including the Neel Reid designed Swan House) and a series of gardens all of which are located on 33 acres (13.4ha) of grounds. Since July 2004 it has also included the Margaret Mitchell House & Museum. [link]
The Kenan Research library includes a reproduction of historian Franklin Garrett's office.
The history center has one of the most complete collection of military artifacts from the American Civil War period.
