Atoll K

Atoll K, released in 1950, was the final film Laurel and Hardy made as a team. A French-Italian co-production, the film was not a financial success, but has gained a cult following with some.
The production of Atoll K was marked with problems, including Stan Laurel's severe illness (Laurel appeared near death during the making of the film), and Oliver Hardy's minor heart problem. After they had recovered their health following the making of Atoll K, Laurel and Hardy would spend the remainder of their performing career mostly touring British music halls.
Atoll K was re-released as Utopia in the years following its original theatre run. The film is now in the public domain, and is widely available on home video.
