The Auckland Domain is Auckland's oldest park, and one of the largest in the city, in the central suburb of Grafton

The park is home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum, which sits prominently on the hill. The park contains a 50,000 year old volcanic crater and has been home to some of New Zealand's largest outdoor events, with some "Christmas in the Park" events attracting several hundred thousand people. The domain and museum are a major tourist attraction.
