Aurora High School is one of four high schools in Aurora, Ontario and is one of two under the jurisdiction of the York Region District School Board. It serves students from Grades 9 to 12.
History
The original Aurora High School, with origins to 1888 was renamed Dr. G.W. Williams Secondary School in 1962 and continues to operate under that name on Dunning Ave. The school now called Aurora High School was built in 1972.Interesting Facts
Former prime minister Paul Martin visited the school on November 9th 2005 to talk about various topics, including Iraq, Afganistan and politics.See also
