Auteuil and Passy are part of the 16th arrondissement of Paris and Neuilly is a nearby suburb.
This area is commonly known as the richest in Paris, with calm, select and very expensive neighbourhoods, including many mansions. Auteuil-Neuilly-Passy is sometimes abbreviated as NAP.
The satiric group Les Inconnus made in 1991 a song called Auteuil-Neuilly-Passy about the life of fictitious youngsters from the upper class singing rap on their allegedly difficult lives. The chorus was:
- Auteuil-Neuilly-Passy, c'est pas du gâteau;
- Auteuil-Neuilly-Passy, tel est notre ghetto
- Auteuil-Neuilly-Passy, it ain't a piece of cake;
- Auteuil-Neuilly-Passy, such is our ghetto
