} The World of Avegost (also known in short as Avegost) was originally a campaign setting made for the Dungeons and Dragons roleplaying game by Joe Landolfi for friends in his home town. The game has changed drastically in the years since it was made, and has taken on a completely separate new spin.

The original Avegost was made in 2000 by Joe Landolfi as his first real attempt at providing what he called a 'living world' for his dungeons and dragons players. The world was loosely inspired by J.R.R Tokien's book, The Lord of the Rings. The original campaign took place on world which landmass consisted of a archipelago. The main campaign focused on the trying times that the world was in and the political struggle of which the players
