Aveley

Aveley is a place in the Thurrock unitary authority in the East of England. It is a suburban development located 16.3 miles (26.2 km) east of Charing Cross in London.

After the Second World War the population grew rapidly as the area absorbed some of the London overspill. According to Thurrock Council in 2001 the ward of Aveley and Uplands had a population of 8,381 people.

To the north and west is the London Borough of Havering, to the south the A13 road and the River Thames and to the east is the M25 motorway.
