Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: [AVT]) is a technology B2B distributor headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

The company was founded in 1921, and went public in 1959. It is currently the largest publicly held company headquartered in the state of Arizona. They currently employ more than 11,000 employees in over 70 countries and are listed as number 217 in the Fortune 500 list as of 2005.
