Encyclopedia : A : AV : AVR : Avraham Elyashiv
Rabbi Avraham Elyashiv was the Av Beth Din of the city of Homel. At some point, he moved to Jerusalem and was the founder and Rosh Yeshiva of Tiferes Bachurim there. He was the son-in-law of the famous Kabbalist Rabbi Shalom Ben Hayim Haikel Eliashiv (1841-1925), author of the Leshem, and the father of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, who still lectures at his father's Yeshiva. Among many, he gave an approbation to Nachlas Tzvi (a work by Meshulam Gross). He himself authored a Sefer by the name of Bikkurei Avraham.
