Ayase, Kanagawa

is a city located in Kanagawa, Japan.As of 2003, the ward has an estimated population of 81,875 and the density of 3,674.82 persons per km². The total area is 22.28 km².
The city gained a city status on November 1, 1978.
Ayase is home to Naval Air Facility Atsugi, which is one of the key United States military bases on the Kanto plain.
