Aziatic
Encyclopedia : A : AZ : AZI : Aziatic
After two albums that received extremely indifferent responses (1998's Pieces of a Man and 2001's 9 Lives) from hip hop fans, Aziatic is considered AZ's big comeback album. The album features AZ's world famous flow and respectable style over melodic, soulful production. It featured one of the most legendary duets between AZ and long-time friend and collaberator, Nas. The song was called The Essence, and it was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group. Besides for The Essence, Aziatic features some of AZ's most landmark tracks, including Fan Mail, A-1 Performance, and Paradise (Life). While the album didn't get the type of sales it deserved, it completely replenished AZ's credibility.
