Azzam the American (Azzam al Amriki) (Arabic: ‎) is the pseudonym of an otherwise anonymous terrorist, describing himself as a member of al Qaeda, who appeared in a tape bought for $500 by ABC News in October 2004.

In the tape, "Azzam" says "Allah willing, the streets of America will run red with blood, matching drop for drop the blood of America's victims."

The tape was submitted by NBC to the FBI and CIA for authentication, and only brief portions have been broadcast. It appears to have been produced by as-Sahab, a propaganda arm of al Qaeda.

Law enforcement agents suggested the "star" of the tape might be Adam Yahiye Gadahn, a California native who was born Adam Pearlman, and has previously used the pseudonym Abu Suhayb Al-Amriki. Gadahn was born a Christian.
