The BBC One O'Clock News is broadcast on BBC One and BBC News 24 Monday to Friday at lunchtimes. It is presented by Sophie Raworth, and deputised by Darren Jordon. Occasionally Sian Williams or Jane Hill front the programme. It is the first comprehensive news programme on BBC One of the day, after BBC Breakfast. It is on the air from 1.00pm until 1.30pm; it is also on the air on BBC News 24 known as BBC One O'Clock Newshour, which lasts until 2.00pm.

The programme's previous presenter Anna Ford presented her last programme on 27 April, 2006, and Sophie Raworth took over as anchor since June 2006. The programme also got a new look, as did the other BBC News programmes.

The programme also contains a weather forecast in the last few minutes, presented by a range of forecasters from BBC Weather.
