"Baby, I Love You" was written by Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich, and Phil Spector. With Phil Spector producing, it was recorded by The Ronettes, who took the song into the American Top Forty in 1964.
In 1969, Andy Kim recorded the song for Jeff Barry's label, Steed Records. Andy's version became a U.S. Top Ten hit and earned a gold record.
In 1980, Phil Spector produced The Ramones' version of the song. This single reached #8 in the UK charts.
Other artists who have recorded "Baby, I Love You" include Linda Ronstadt and Dave Edmunds.
"Baby, I Love You" recorded by Aretha Franklin is a different song altogether.
