Bacardi superior is a famous easy to find
rum made by the
Bacardi Company . It is colourless and easy flowing and is thin in the body . The actual taste is nutty with
hazelnuts and
almonds combined and has a buttery after taste.
This rum is mostly used to make other cocktails such as a rum diver, strawberry kiss and a
piña colada.
The Bacardi Company has a storied history, with its foundation taking place in
Cuba and later moving to
Puerto Rico. Even though the headquarters has changed locations, the rum is still made using basically the same recipe from the past. The only things that have changed are the filtering and
ageing processes. Other common
Bacardi rum flavors are Oro (Gold) and Black, respectively brown and black rum types.
