Baladiyah (Arabic: ‎) is an Arabic subdivision term that can be translated as municipality. The plural is baladiyat (Arabic: ‎).

The current municipalities of Libya are called shabiyat, but the former ones were called baladiyat, sometimes translated as governorates.
