Balakliya

Balakliya (Ukrainian: Балаклія, Russian: , translit. Balakleya) is a city in the Kharkiv Oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Balakliysky Raion (district), and is an important railroad junction in the oblast. The city was founded in 1663.
The current estimated population is around 32,408 (as of 2001).
