Balangiga is a 5th class municipality in the province of Eastern Samar, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 10,662 people in 2,113 households.

The municipality is the site of the Balangiga Attack which triggered the Balangiga Massacre. This incident during the Philippine-American War remains one of the longest-running and most controversial issues between the Philippines and the United States.
