Ballasalla

Ballasalla (Balley Salley in Manx) is a village on the Isle of Man, close to the town of Castletown. It was built mostly from the ruins of the nearby Rushen Abbey, a Cistercian abbey founded in the 12th century and dissolved in the 16th.
The village has a railway station and is located close to Ronaldsway Airport.
Each summer a Celtic Beer Festival is held in the village, with Celtic music and dancing.
Ballasalla derives its name from the Manx Balley Salley (both pronounced the same) which means Place of the Willows.
